Scope in Procurement
- EN 10217-7:2021 specifies technical delivery conditions, in two test categories, for welded circular tubes made from austenitic and austenitic-ferritic stainless steels.
- The scope addresses pressure and corrosion-resisting service at room, low or elevated temperatures. It does not by itself demonstrate that a material is suitable for a particular pressure-equipment design.
- Manufacturing route, weld condition, dimensions, grade, testing and project code must be stated together and verified against the current authorised standard.
