Scope in Procurement
- EN 10216-5:2021 specifies technical delivery conditions, in two test categories, for seamless tubes of circular cross-section made from austenitic and austenitic-ferritic stainless steels.
- The route covers tubes intended for pressure and corrosion-resisting purposes at room, low or elevated temperatures; the actual design code and service conditions still govern material selection.
- A standard designation is not proof that a requested grade, size or service condition is covered. The current authorised document, drawing and inspection requirements must be checked before quotation.
