Sourcing of magnesium sheet, plate, strip, ribbon, foil, wire, bar, rod, tube and special profiles by verified alloy, product standard and temper.
MNK-G.S.A develops each supply route from the required designation, manufacturing route, dimensions, quantity, inspection documents and destination. Listed grades and forms describe a sourcing portfolio—not universal stock or automatic availability of every grade in every form.
Grade, Form and Condition Must Match
- A magnesium designation does not by itself define whether the product is rolled, extruded, drawn, forged or cast.
- The quotation must retain the exact alloy suffix, temper or heat-treatment condition, product form, dimensions and governing specification.
- Wrought and cast variants with related trade names are not automatically interchangeable. For example, a wrought Elektron 43 or WE43 route must not be substituted by a cast WE43B route without engineering approval.
- Availability is confirmed as one complete combination of grade, form, size, condition, quantity and certificate requirements.
Magnesium Grade Portfolio
The following portfolio combines established general-purpose and special wrought families evidenced in current producer routes. It is a broad RFQ scope, not a claim that each grade is stocked or producible in every form.

It does not mean every historical alloy designation or universal availability. Additional grades may be sourced when the customer provides the governing specification or an approved composition.
Product Forms
Sheet & Plate
AZ31B sheet and plate may be sourced in O, H24 or H26 when ASTM B90/B90M-21 governs. ISO 23700:2021 provides a separate international framework for rolled plate and sheet. ZM21 and special rolled-plate routes are reviewed against producer documents.
Strip & Coil
Rolled strip and coil inquiries are developed by grade, thickness, width, coil weight, inside and outside diameter, edge condition, temper and surface finish. JIS H 4201:2018 explicitly covers magnesium-alloy sheets, plates and strips.
Ribbon & Foil
Narrow ribbon, narrow strip and foil are special mill or conversion routes. Exact thickness, width, edge, surface, temper and coil geometry must be qualified; no universal grade or minimum gauge is assumed.
Wire
Extruded or drawn wire is sourced by exact alloy, diameter, temper, coil or straight-length form, surface and test requirements. ASTM B107/B107M-13(2021) and JIS H 4203:2025 provide product-form frameworks; welding wire requires a separate consumable classification.
Bar & Rod
Round, square or rectangular bar, rod, solid sections and machining stock are reviewed by diameter or cross-section, length, straightness, temper and inspection. One verified producer route publishes round bar from 1.6 to 200 mm and lengths from 25 mm to 6 m; this is a manufacturing example, not guaranteed stock.
Tube & Hollow Section
Seamless round tube, drawn tube, hollow extrusion and custom profile inquiries require outside dimensions, wall, length, tolerances and route. ISO 23694:2021 and JIS H 4202:2025 apply to defined extruded or drawn tube scopes.

Application Context
Magnesium alloys may be considered for weight-sensitive aerospace, transport, motorsport, electronics, tooling, prototype and engineered-component requirements. Corrosion environment, fire and machining controls, joining method, surface protection, galvanic interaction, load and service temperature must be reviewed for the exact grade and component.
