Scope in Procurement
- ISO 3116:2019 specifies chemical compositions and mechanical properties for wrought magnesium and magnesium alloys supplied as bars and solid sections, tubes and hollow sections, forgings, plate and sheet.
- The product form, alloy designation, condition and applicable property requirements must be stated together. The ISO number does not prove that a different form such as wire or foil is covered.
- The checked official record marks the 2019 edition for revision and identifies ISO/PRF 3116 Edition 6 as its intended replacement. The current publication status must therefore be rechecked before quotation and order placement.
