Scope in Procurement
- ISO 24373:2018 specifies classification requirements for solid wires and rods used for fusion welding of copper and copper alloys.
- Classification is based on chemical composition. The complete designation and manufacturer documentation must be verified instead of treating a shortened commercial name as sufficient evidence.
- The classification does not establish automatic suitability for a specific CuNi system, base material, seawater duty or repair. The approved WPS and project requirements govern selection.
