ERTi-2 Titanium Welding Consumables

Technical sourcing of ERTi-2 titanium solid wire and rods by AWS classification, process, diameter, cleanliness, packaging and certificate requirements.

MNK-G.S.A coordinates specialist titanium welding-consumable inquiries for marine, heat-exchanger, piping, equipment and industrial fabrication projects. Sources and verification scope

Classification Identity

  • AWS A5.16/A5.16M:2023 is the reference specification for titanium and titanium-alloy welding electrodes and rods.
  • DAIKO lists DAIKOWT Ti 2 rods for GTAW and DAIKOWM Ti 2 solid wire for GMAW, both with the AWS A5.16 ERTi-2 classification.
  • ISO 24034:2020 remains published and was confirmed in 2026.
  • The selected DAIKO product range does not state an EN ISO designation. No exact ISO equivalence is claimed here; obtain the required designation and certification edition for the offered product.

Application Context

DAIKO associates these ERTi-2 products with commercially pure titanium, including Grade 2. Titanium is sensitive to contamination during welding: preparation, cleanliness and inert-gas shielding must be controlled by the approved procedure. Final selection depends on the actual base material, WPS/PQR, design requirements and service conditions.

RFQ and Quality Controls

  • Exact titanium base-material grade and condition
  • AWS classification and any required ISO designation
  • Welding process, diameter, package and surface condition
  • Approved cleaning, inert shielding and WPS controls
  • Batch certificate, traceability, approvals, quantity and destination

Technical Sources and Scope

Reference editions checked on 27 September 2026: AWS A5.16/A5.16M:2023 and ISO 24034:2020. ISO records confirmation in 2026. Links identify the standards without reproducing their protected requirements.

Manufacturer evidence is separated by product: DAIKOWT Ti 2 for GTAW rods and DAIKOWM Ti 2 for GMAW wire. Packaging examples come from those product pages; the Grade 2 range supports the application context.

The selected manufacturer range leaves the EN ISO field unspecified. Do not infer an exact mapping or batch compliance from a general standard reference. Request the offered product documents and required approvals.

Packaging mass is maintained in the shared technical registry. This check covers the DAIKOWT Ti 2 carton tube only, not other product dimensions, standard editions or stock availability.
