ASTM B705-24 — Nickel-Alloy Welded Pipe
Procurement reference for welded N06625, N06219 and N08825 nickel-alloy pipe under ASTM B705.
Edition control: ASTM B705-24 is the active edition identified in the official ASTM catalogue checked on 1 September 2026. Confirm the authorised publication and purchase-order requirements before use.
Scope in Procurement
ASTM B705 covers welded pipe in UNS N06625, N06219 and N08825 in the specified annealed condition for general corrosion applications. The exact UNS alloy and condition must be carried through the order.
RFQ and Product Controls
- Exact UNS N06625, N06219 or N08825 and ASTM B705-24 edition
- Pipe size, schedule or wall, length, ends and dimensional tolerances
- Automatic welding route, filler-metal restriction, cold work and annealing
- Final surface condition, oxide removal and fabrication allowance
- Chemical and mechanical requirements for the selected alloy
- Guided-bend, hydrostatic, pneumatic or other nondestructive examination route
- ASTM B775/B775M requirements, inspection document, traceability, marking and destination
The material identity must remain traceable from the producing heat and lot through manufacture, welding, testing, inspection documentation, marking and final release.
Scope Boundary
ASTM B705 is a welded pipe specification for three defined UNS grades. It does not cover seamless pipe, tube, plate or bar, and the standard alone does not confirm compatibility with a particular corrosive medium or design code.
