- ASTM grade, class, heat treatment and size range
- Service temperature, design pressure and governing equipment code
- Compatible nut specification, grade and class
- Mechanical, hardness and supplementary test requirements
- Surface condition, coating, marking and packaging
- Finished-lot traceability and inspection-document requirements
A raw-material or semi-finished-product certificate alone does not establish compliance of the finished bolting component. Traceability must continue through manufacture, testing, marking and the released lot.
Scope Boundary
The designation does not by itself approve a complete joint. Nut compatibility, equipment code, service temperature, coating, thread fit, preload and supplementary requirements remain order-specific.
