Scope in Procurement
ISO 10474:2013 defines types of inspection documents supplied to the purchaser for steel-product deliveries in accordance with the order.
The document route works together with the applicable product standard and the ISO 404:2013 general technical delivery requirements; it does not replace the product standard, drawing, inspection plan or contractual acceptance requirements.
ISO 10474 terminology must not be treated as automatically identical to EN 10204 document types. The exact required standard, document designation, validation route and reporting content should be stated in the inquiry and purchase order. The EN 10168:2004 procurement guide provides a separate information-structure reference for steel-product certificates.
