Scope in Procurement
- EN 10272:2016 specifies technical delivery conditions for hot- and cold-formed stainless steel bars intended for pressure-equipment construction.
- The inquiry must identify the steel designation, process route, surface finish, section, dimensions and inspection requirements.
- Use of a material standard does not by itself demonstrate suitability for a specific pressure item. The designer’s code, service conditions and subsequent manufacturing processes remain controlling.
