Scope in Procurement
- EN 10088-2:2024 specifies technical delivery conditions for hot- or cold-rolled sheet, plate and strip in standard and special grades of corrosion-resistant stainless steel for general purposes.
- It is a flat-product route. The inquiry must identify the exact grade, delivery condition, dimensions, surface finish and inspection documentation rather than relying on the EN number alone.
- The scope does not establish compliance for components whose quality characteristics are changed by further processing, or for bars, tubes, pipes and forgings governed by other product standards.
