Scope in Procurement
- ISO 18273:2015 specifies classification requirements for solid wires and rods used for fusion welding of aluminium and aluminium alloys.
- Classification is based on chemical composition. The ordered designation, product form, dimensions and batch documentation must therefore be confirmed together.
- The classification does not establish automatic suitability for a particular marine alloy, temper, joint or repair. Manufacturer guidance, the approved WPS, class or OEM requirements and customer documents govern selection.
