- Tube outside diameter, wall basis, wall thickness, length and tolerances
- Automatic weld route, cold work, annealing and final surface condition

The material identity must remain traceable from the producing heat and lot through manufacture, welding, testing, inspection documentation, marking and final release.
Scope Boundary
ASTM B704 does not cover pipe or seamless tube and does not make its alloy families interchangeable. Equipment design, corrosion assessment, tubesheet joint, welding procedure and pressure-code acceptance remain separate controls.
