Scope in Procurement
- EN 10222-5:2017 specifies technical delivery conditions for stainless steel forgings for pressure purposes, including creep-resisting steels.
- It addresses martensitic, austenitic and austenitic-ferritic stainless-steel routes within the EN 10222 series; Part 1 and the applicable material part must be considered together.
- The forging grade, part geometry, section size, heat treatment, test location and design code must be checked for each order. The EN number alone is not evidence of finished-component conformity.
