Scope in Procurement
- This specification is a flat-product route. The purchase description must identify plate, sheet or strip together with the exact grade, condition, dimensions and current edition.
- The current ASTM record states that UNS N08904 flat products formerly covered by ASTM B625 moved to the A240/A480 route.
- The standard does not establish compliance for bar, tube, pipe or forgings. Those forms require their own governing specifications.
