What “Typical Global Sourcing Range” Means

MNK-G.S.A uses published capabilities from multiple specialist manufacturing routes to understand whether an inquiry is commercially and technically realistic. The resulting range describes what may be sourced across the global market, subject to the exact material, specification, form, dimensions, condition, quantity and documentation.

It does not mean that MNK holds every size in stock, that one factory makes the entire range or that today’s availability is guaranteed before a manufacturer confirms the complete requirement.

A Range Is Not One Guaranteed Size Combination

Rod and Wire: Diameter Controls Length

Fine wire may be supplied continuously on spools, while larger wire, rod and bar are produced in straight lengths. The maximum length usually falls as diameter, straightness, grinding allowance or dimensional precision increases. A long published length for a small diameter must not be transferred to the maximum diameter in the same range.

• State the exact diameter or cross-section.
• State finished length, random length or spool requirement.
• Define straightness, diameter tolerance and surface condition.
• Separate micro rod, drawn wire and general bar when their manufacturing routes differ.

Foil, Sheet and Plate: Thickness Controls Format

The thinnest foil, widest sheet and thickest plate normally come from different processing routes and may come from different manufacturers. Width, length, flatness, rolling direction, surface condition and heat-treatment condition must therefore be checked at the requested thickness.

Never combine the minimum thickness, maximum width and maximum length into one implied product unless the complete combination has been confirmed.

This approach keeps the website useful for preliminary engineering while preventing a benchmark from becoming an unsupported promise of stock or production capacity.
