Scope in Procurement
ISO 6506-1:2014 specifies the Brinell hardness test method for metallic materials and applies to fixed-location and portable testing machines.
The material or product standard must determine whether Brinell testing is suitable and which test condition and acceptance range govern the order.
Surface preparation, product thickness, measurement location and report traceability must be suitable for the selected test.
