Scope in Procurement
ISO 16143-4:2023 specifies technical delivery requirements for stainless bright bars in drawn, peeled or turned condition, including products that are additionally ground.
The products are intended for mechanical uses such as machine parts and can also be specified for high-temperature applications within the standard’s defined material routes.
Bright-product condition, dimensional tolerance, straightness, surface quality and inspection evidence must be ordered explicitly; a stainless grade name alone does not establish those requirements.
