Scope
What This Standard Covers
ASTM B348/B348M-25 covers annealed titanium and titanium-alloy bars and billets. It provides product-specific requirements for the grades and UNS designations listed in the governing edition.
The specification includes commercially pure titanium and a broad range of titanium alloys. Grade, UNS number, product form and condition must be confirmed together.

Grades, Conditions and Product Forms
Certain H-grade designations retain the chemistry of the corresponding numeric grade while carrying a higher guaranteed minimum tensile strength. The H designation must be explicitly required and documented where applicable.
A bar ordered to ASTM B348/B348M must not be represented as meeting a plate, forging, pipe or medical-implant specification without separate documented conformity.

Prepare the inquiry against the governing project specification. State:
- full ASTM designation and required edition
- grade and UNS number
- bar or billet and required round, square, rectangular or other section
- diameter or cross-section, length, tolerances and straightness
- condition, heat treatment, surface finish, testing, inspection documents and destination
